For the last year and a half I’ve been a stay at home mom and nanny for my cousins son. But after quarantine and being home all the time with two babies I decided I needed a break, and to do something different. As much as I love staying home with the boys it was getting to me. It’s difficult finding balance between being a new mom, having a job and a life outside of that. And that brings us here, to the TUNaWERTH Creamery. My husbands family owns the creamery and I was lucky enough that they could bring me on as an employee part time! Today was my first official day! My husbands family moved over here from the Netherlands, in hopes to run a dairy of their own. They keep a touch of their home country in their cheese making. Their original gouda and their cumin and clove are both recipes that taste of the homeland with old world flavors.

At the TUNaWERTH creamery they make and sell a variety of dairy products. A low pasteurized milk, and cream. Gouda, cream cheese, and curds. Yogurt, greek yogurt, as well buttermilk and butter! Seasonally they make a feta and mozzarella (the mozzarella is my FAV cheese). Probably one of the most common questions they get is what is a low pasteurized? Low pasteurized is a process used to kill harmful pathogens. It's a safer choice than raw, with a lot of the same benefits! Not to mention the taste- this is how milk should taste!

Today I got to learn how to make cream cheese, put yogurt and buttermilk in jars, and bottled milk! Besides getting back in to a routine which I am so looking forward to, it felt so good to get out of the house for a few hours. My day flew by! I only worked a half day and by the time I got home I was so tired. I could hardly keep my eyes open.. which makes me think I needed this more than even I knew.

Its make my heart s happy to hear this.
Mmm I wanna try the gouda!
